Angus Energy began providing hedging services in 1991. Since then, we have grown steadily, and now count over 500 oil jobbers as clients. Phil Baratz and George Wilson have successfully managed Angus Energy for well over a decade and have been involved in the energy markets for over fifty years. We were founded to help oil companies offer capped prices to their customers, but we now offer a diverse range of products and services, each customized to the needs and locations of our clients. |

SERVICES WE PROVIDEWe meet with each of our clients to figure out a solution for their specific needs. We then put together a plan that is designed to maximize both margins and purchasing flexibility. Hedges are indexed to either exchange-traded or "cash market" instruments, and are set at YOUR volumetric needs. By customizing our offerings, we allow heating oil dealers to offer both fixed and capped price offerings, gasoline dealers to put a floor on their "street margins", trucking companies to fix their cost of diesel fuel, and municipalities to cap their cost of natural gas. We also enable weather sensitive suppliers (i.e. heating oil distributors) to have a guaranteed minimum number of HDD's, whether Mother Nature complies, or not. |

OUR CLIENTSOur clients, in over 20 states, represent local heating oil distributors, owners of chains of gas stations, national trucking companies, real estate management companies and municipalities. We offer price protection on heating oil, diesel fuel, kerosene, propane, gasoline, heavy oils, and natural gas. In addition, we help manage volumetric risk with weather hedges for distributors and end-users. |
